Optimal Array Phase Center Study for Frequency-Domain Constrained Space-Time Broadband Beamforming

The frequency-domain constrained broadband space-time beamformer has been widely used in many fields because of its excellent performance and no need for pre-steering delay. However, the beam response depends heavily on phase center location array. wrong array will lead to undesirable wide main lobe high side lobe. To choose correctly, this paper makes an in-depth theoretical discussion dependency based uniform linear First, dependence quiescent is theoretically derived, it proved that there optimal which can make obtain best response. Then, a selection criterion proposed, criterion, closed-form solution derived when constraint matrix contains two pre-selected points. Finally, solution, through correct extrapolation, suboptimal obtained any preselected Numerical simulations verify correctness effectiveness proposed methods.
